21st Annual general meeting of Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists
It was held on 6th and 7 th June 2024 at the Sri Lanka Foundation, Colombo. It was attended by consultants and SRs from all over the island and there was an enthusiastic exchange of practical knowledge in helping children with Learning Diabilities to thrive.
The 21st Annual General Meeting(AGM) of the Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists was held at 10.30am on 06.10.2024 at The Water’s Edge, Battaramulla.
The inauguration ceremony of the 21st Annual Academic Sessions of Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists and the 15th SAARC International Psychiatry Conference held on 26 July 2024, at the Jubilee Ballroom of the Galle Face Hotel.
Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists, in collaboration of the directorate of mental health, Ministry of Health organised a two-day workshop on Learning Disability for the General Adult Psychiatrists and Senior Registrars in psychiatry.
It was held on 6th and 7 th June 2024 at the Sri Lanka Foundation, Colombo. It was attended by consultants and SRs from all over the island and there was an enthusiastic exchange of practical knowledge in helping children with Learning Diabilities to thrive.
Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists in collaboration with the college of Sexual health and HIV medicine conducted a workshop on management of substance use disorders among the patients presenting to sexual health clinics.
This workshop was conducted on 30/05/24 at NIMH. Dr Prabath Wickrama, Dr Amila Isuru, Dr Gemunu Rambukwella and Dr Malsha de Silva contributed as the resource persons. It was attended by venereologists from all over the country and lead to a successful sharing of knowledge from each speciality and a fruitful collaboration.
The northwestern province regional session of the Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists with its subcommittee on child and adolescents was held at Teaching Hospital Kurunegala on 07/02/2024. This was held in collaboration with the Kurunegala Medical Association.
The workshop on Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) and launching the Sinhala version of the CST manual was jointly organised by the Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists and the Sri Lanka Association of Geriatric Medicine on 01/04/2024. We were privileged to have the creator of CST Prof Aimee Spector as a resource person.
The Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists conducted its second CME programme today at Full Moon Garden Hotel, Katunayake.
