Participation as Special Guest at Mental Health Day 2025 Celebration

Participated as a Special Guest at the Mental Health Day 2025 celebration organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Specialist Psychiatrists, Sri Lanka Association of Specialist Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Sri Lanka Association of Abortionists, South Colombo Teaching Hospital, and the Leo Society. The event was held yesterday (17) at the Sri Lanka Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Auditorium.
The program, chaired by veteran actress and yoga instructor Mrs. Anoja Weerasinghe, also featured the launch of the “Neerogee” mobile application, designed to help individuals self-assess their mental well-being within the community.
Several awareness lectures were conducted on crucial themes such as the mental well-being of children and adolescents, mental well-being of adults, gender-based violence, the importance of menopause, lifestyle changes during menopause, and mental well-being of older adults.
The President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Psychiatrists, Dr. Dasanthi Akmeemana, along with many doctors and scholars, participated in this meaningful event.
