SRI LANKA COLLEGE OF PSYCHIATRISTS

Eligibility criteria

• Open to all consultant psychiatrists serving in regional hospitals in Sri Lanka.

• Psychiatrists working in the following main teaching hospitals are not eligible to apply: National
Hospital of Sri Lanka Colombo, National Institute of Mental Health Angoda, National Hospital
Kandy, Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Colombo
North Teaching Hospital, Teaching Hospital Peradeniya, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Children’s
hospital Peradeniya, Teaching Hospital Karapitiya .

• The applicant should have completed at least one year in the station by 1st May 2023.
• Previous winners will not be eligible to apply for a period of three years after winning the award.

• A report outlining the work carried out by the applicant in provision and development of mental
health services should be submitted as a pdf file.

• Maximum word count 1500 words. Photographs and web links of activities can be included.

• Covering letter should give name, designation and contact details of the applicant.

• Applicants shortlisted for the award will be required to make a short presentation to the panel of
judges.

• The decision of the panel will be final

• Deadline for submissions: 15th April 2023
